Blue Santa is a police program designed to provide Christmas presents for those children who might otherwise go without. Our organization helps plan and raise money annually for the program. Over 100 children and their families receive presents and food for Christmas.
Starting in 2008, the Universal City Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association teamed with the UCPD in the planning and execution of the program. Applications for Blue Santa support are distributed to all apartments and schools within Universal City around October 1 every year, and they are available at the Police Department. Applications need to be returned to the Police Department by the 22nd of November. Once the forms have been collected and reviewed, eligible residents will be notified.
